Gregg Racing team owner Gregg Lawrence and team driver Jerry Kumre Jr. will begin the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods-Lucas Oil season at the Lucas Oil Winternationals, March 27-30, held at the historic In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.
“Jerry came onboard in 2024 and the team ran a limit schedule to get acquainted and handle business obligations for both myself and Jerry,” stated team owner-crew chief Gregg Lawrence. “We couldn’t have been happier with how things went in our limited time together, and we are all excited to see how 2025 pans out”.
The current plan for Gregg Racing is to compete at Pomona, Vegas 1, and the Woodburn, Oregon regional event. After those races, the team will assess overall performance and consider business commitments before determining next steps. Ideally, Gregg Racing aims to finish out the season at the Seattle national event, followed by Vegas 2, and ultimately concluding the year at the Pomona World Finals.
Gregg Racing is proud to announce that Champion Home Builders will be onboard the Commercial Business Machines injected nitro dragster for the first two events, Pomona and Las Vegas. Champion Home Builders is one of the largest factory-built home suppliers offering manufactured homes, modular homes, and park model homes throughout the United States and Western Canada.
“We are so happy and honored to have Champion Home Builders entrust Gregg Racing and myself to represent their line of manufactured homes to the NHRA audience and we plan on making them proud,” stated driver Jerry Kumre Jr. “As a manufactured home dealer, I have proudly represented Champion Home Builders as an authorized dealer for over a decade and to get to represent them on the racetrack is something we are really looking forward to.”
With 2025 being Gregg Racing’s 25th year running Top Alcohol Dragster with an injected nitro combination, they are hoping to inject NHRA fans with a sample of the manufactured home world. More information about Champion Home Builders can be found at www.championhomes.com.
