Hey man, love your videos, just have a small suggestion about dealing with your main and rod bearings. (I've been doing full rebuilds on jet engines in the air force for about 5 years now.) I'd definitely just keep your super important bearings sitting in a covered pan of oil or just dipped in oil and wrapped and labled as a set in some butcher paper. The fibers and lint from a towel or non-lint-free cloth could potentially cause some pre-mature wear on bearings if any of it ends up getting in there on the final assembly. Potentially. And with gloves, don't be stingy with them, if you touch anything that isn't clean, or touch your face/hair, just throw a new set on before handling the bearings again. Love the videos man, keep up the good work!
I felt it when you said you miss driving you’re truck I have a 1990 Chevy stepside with a 350 with flat top pistons and a lunati rv cam with a rebuilt trans I tore it down to do a intake gasket and some of the grounds decided to say bye bye 😂then the freeze plugs in the back of the block did now I’m driving a 96 dodge Dakota 🤣
Craig, your videos are the best. You're real, not like most of the pretentious jerks out there. Be an ENGIMANEER, it works for you.
Im a broke 20 year old kid with a 96 f250 nicknamed f2shity that's why I watch your videos
Ok can you please let me know exactly what’s done to the fox because I’d love to get 23 miles to the gallon! 👍
I have been watching this channel for many years and your videos have been inspiring and have made me start projects I would t have normally done. I am a high school student in Canada who is also going to university next year for mechanical Engineering. I am also a huge car guy although I am mostly into mopars. Your videos inspired me to restore a 68 340 dart and with some help from friends I did pretty much everything to the car including rebuilding the engine to changing the gears in the rear end. I just want to say I love your content and keep up the great work! The car community where you are seems to be a lot bigger than where I am from (Prince Edward Island) I am pretty much the only kid into the old stuff at my school. It is people like us that will keep these great vehicles on the road. Thanks for the great content!
Dude it's time to put a 5speed transmission in your town car lol like to see u driving it
Not telling you what to do but I wouldn't rev that engine past 6800. A girldled 2 bolt main is nice but you haven't really blueprinted the engine to the level necessary to spin an engine that high of RPMs.
Looking like kiefer sutherland from lost boys at the beginning!
Very good video guys
More car meets with the truck when yall got it together
Damnit… Guess I need to get around to rebuilding my 302 for boost.
The galaxie would look amazing in that color
ANYONE CAN BUILD AN ENGINE QUESTION IS WILL IT MAKE POWER AND LAST GET A HAIRCUT A REAL ONE AND A SHAVE 1988 CALLED RETURN THE MULLET. WHY DO U NEED TO SPIN 8K IT NOT A FULL ON RACE ENGINE.
Love every bit of your content, but the truck stuff is my favorite!
Nice, careful build! One suggestion, based on my own experiences, Always chase the threads before the final cleaning, and blow out the holes with compressed air from the bottom, using a thin tube blow gun. In my experience, using what is known as a "spiral flute plug tap". The spiral flutes pulls the cuttings out, where a straight flute pushes them forward. Finally, run the taps in and out with an average size cordless drill. If the tap hits an obstruction, such as the bottom of the hole, the keyless chuck will slip on the tap, which is very hard steel.
In highschool 22 years ago I'm pretty sure I had the same air freshener that you have on the mirror of the mustang. Lol
Another enjoyed video, kool content, Thanx!
