Making some huge upgrades today, well over the last few days. And it seems that like always, nothing seems as easy as the professionals make it look, LOL. But this stuff I got from Tin Solder Racercars is amazing, and I mean it’s a work or art. These guys have some great products and the customer support is unreal as well. The main problem is me, I’m not a very good welder and for sure am not a chassis expert but we are making progress. Cannot wait to try the low prep bars out and see how much they help the car work on these really back of the track passes.

Glad to hear you went that way on the brackets
Use dry graphite on those delrin bushings
Man those brackets are nice. Should be a big improvement bro
I love my TSR no prep brackets, best upgrade I did over the winter! The guys over at Mid America Kustoms installed mine since I also had aftermarket brackets. They did a killer job!
Is that those brackets are heat- treated now because all the heat from the whales
Y'all get it figured out TJ
Bruh, I'm so tired of your blue eyes and big smile. What do you know about race cars anyway? I bet Braxton does all the work and you just video and collect the checks. /s
Tie those brackets together! Think about your last ride – The Dancing Queen aka How to do a 1/4 pass on an 1/8th mile track : )
Hammer is just up the road from me!!πͺπͺ
I'd redrill 2 more holes into each of the brackets and keep em bolt on
Go with your first option, let Tin Soldiers do it up.
We want the Win Lights!!
Man is so boring when you ain't got nothing to talk about
Good call!!!! Being you wanna race no since in messing the car up when it is working!!!

Nice!!
Find someone with a mag drill and good cutters. It won't take 20 mins to do those hole.
Do it right the first time, so you don't have to do it right again for the second time!
Thanks for using our products John!!! Our boy Dalton that works for us welded those up! He is only 20 years old and he welds up all our fabricated 9 inches! My man works hard and is an incredible welder!
Your legs hurt just standing around mmm someone needs a ice diet you'll be dropping weight like really quick get the drug's they give fat woman to drop pounds your welcome
Put it together test it and when you're happy then weld it all up…
It's a Wang thang you wouldn't understand
Hey just a tip for the future. To expedite recovery from dental work try swishing warm water around in your mouth for 3-5 minutes. A dentist suggested this to me a few years ago and it really works. I find it gets rid of the numbing way faster than just waiting for it to go away on its own.
U need roto broachs for drilling holes dude. Youll never use a twist drill bit again
Wouldnβt that lower bar hit the bracket the way you almost welded it in , if the car squatted at launch?
When you lower the car down is the bottom bar going to hit the bottom of the new bracket?
John I know you like your flip flops, but they will make your legs hurt like heck ask me how I know. If you wear some shoes with a heel and a little support you'll be ok, flip flops will kill your legs, best of luck on the car and go rounds
Great group of guys, Hillbillies to the front !!
Why didn't you get the brackets that you're missing from Tin Soldiers and make it all a Tin Soldier kit
Thanks TJ!!!
Take it to Jason to fit properly
Interested to watch how this goes back to back with the old setup. Probably something I need to consider on my setup as well in the future ππ»
You'll be very happy with shorter upper bars and the wishbone. It'll be night and day difference. And here's the good news. Straighter, in the groove, is faster. Keep sluggin' at it. You'll feel it when she's right. These mods
Is just what the doctor ordered.
Just go bye Nick's and get him to weld them in he will weld them up prefect and he's got the welder out working on his new car right now!
John, WOOF, those welds ππππ! It's surprising what will pass as good welds! I'm talking about that Backhalf ! I defiantly would not put big block power to that chassis ππππ! I just don't want to see you get hurt! Because that will cause you issues! People do say I'm a pain in the ass old man! I learned just about everything from a bunch of really fussy old farts! Tim McAmis would smash you in the face with a piece of pipe, if he saw that hardware ππππ! Those are his words ππππAnyway, I would absolutely hold off & let a competent shop install the brackets! Correctly! I've seen people FCK with brand new cars, installing Bickells superduperbadassmegaeasyfineadjust superexpensive brackets, & they literally FCKED off the whole chassis! The car was a Total POS for the whole first season, it was doing all kinds of retarded shit! Once it got on a chassis table, we could finally see how far off everything was! It was a very expensive upgrade, that only downgraded a brand-new car for the first year of its career! Best of luck!
Thanks for sharing John. Getting ideas how to get my 98 to hook up better. Go fast and be safe!!
Hey John why donβt you ask Hustlin Horsepower to do some welding for you? Doesnβt he live near you now? Is he a good welder?
Awesome them guys are from my area there shop is auctly like 20 mins from the oldest outlaw track in the country it's called thorn hill then if u wanted come up around cincy street nights at edgewater
