Penske Racing Shocks Midwest will officially close its Brooklyn, Michigan facility after more than 40 years of operation. Effective immediately, all activities will be consolidated at Penske Racing Shocks’ global headquarters in Reading, Pennsylvania.
This transition coincides with the retirement of long-time manager Allen Croll and his wife, Cindy Croll, who has served as the company’s Controller. Both will retire at the end of 2024. Allen’s leadership has been instrumental in the growth and success of Penske Racing Shocks’ Midwest operations, and the Crolls’ departure marks the close of a significant chapter for the Michigan-based team.
Aaron Lambert, General Manager of Penske Racing Shocks, expressed his gratitude for the Crolls’ contributions:
“Allen and Cindy have been pillars of Penske Racing Shocks and Competition Tire. Their dedication and professionalism have laid a strong foundation for the success we enjoy today. We congratulate them as they begin this exciting new phase of life and wish them nothing but the best.”
In other news, Penske Racing Shocks is proud to announce that long-time key employee Eric Davis will be launching his own business, “Eric’s Ready to Run Shocks” (R2R Shocks). Eric, widely recognized for his outstanding service, sales, and support within the drag racing market, will continue to provide the same level of expertise that has made him a trusted name in the industry.
Lambert added: “Eric has been vital to the growth of both Competition Tire and Penske Racing Shocks. He has refined his skills over the years, and we are thrilled that he’s chosen to continue supporting our products in the drag racing community. We have every confidence in Eric’s success and look forward to being part of his journey.”
Penske Racing Shocks remains committed to serving customers across all motorsports, including sports cars, short track racing, and motorcycles, from its Reading, PA headquarters. “Our S3 approach—Shock, Set-Up, and Support—remains the cornerstone of our operations, ensuring our customers achieve peak performance at every level,” Lambert concluded.
