At last! We’ve began tearing down the dragster for the many upgrades and maintenance items on the list for the 2021 season! This year, the race car will house a 582ci Head Hunter engine with numerous improvements throughout the rest of the car. A new carburetor from Get’M Performance, a Pro-Stage kit from K&R Performance, possibly some new batteries, new axles, adding an alternator, and some wiring projects to accommodate the freshly re-built front half of the chassis! We have A LOT of work to do… 😳

If you decide to use a lithium battery, use Go Lithium! Best battery on the market. It’s also the safest. Been using mine for two years and never had an issue. 8lbs of bad ass
And I’m over here not wantin to put a new radiator in mine! Lol can’t wait for warmer weather!
Complete opinion but I wouldn't use a burnout button because it is just so hard on all sorts of stuff especially the chassis and motor. So if you want, you can learn how to foot it. Make those burnouts way more cool too.

I have a single 16v XS power lightweight battery, with an alternator from house of Payne. I highly recommend this set up, has been ran on both of the cars my dad owns and have never had a single problem with them.

Your definitely going to love the postage. Lithium batteries are great… until their not. Usually they get one bad "cell" and the charging circuit goes into nanny mode. If you go lithium get a spare keep it in the trailer.
Very interested to see how the 582 HH runs. If I ever get some money together to get the rail running that's what it is getting, but I can't decide on Head Hunters or BB-3Xtras. Until then…..hope the nova is a money maker!!!!!
Single XS D1600 with a 100 amp Super Mini alternator is one of the best setups you can run IMO I usually don't have to charge at all towards later rounds or if I'm doubled the XS Power and alternator combo never skips a beat. We run the D1600 over the lightweight S1600 because our cars run electric fuel pumps and gas, but honestly even if we ran mechanical pumps and alcohol (less fan run time also) we'd probably keep the D1600 because it has a ton more reserve and its just piece of mind knowing that the battery will keep up in any circumstance. The lithium stuff doesn't impress me because even with it being so light, the extra cost and the maintenance required seems excessive since we're just bracket racing… Good luck with whatever you end up with!
