have to micrometer the jounal tolerance see if crank can be salvaged. had a ih560 diesel bought for $2200 sight unscene still dont know why but every other year cylinder #6 would hammer up the piston/sleeve/rod so i kept replacing just that 1 jug

I've watched a few of your vids along the way. 70 Dodge Charger in my stable too! Machining? Me too! I Like your little Atlas Shaper. Looks like fun. Not surprised that the Dual Plug Hemi became a fan favorite (it brought me back). so much mystery around those. Been reading car mags since back then – but there really wasn't anything more than "It's a HEMI see the pic". Makes your coverage a real treat!! The man that sold y'all the tractor a church going HIPPOCRAT….He knew that engine bad, he told y'all it had about 100 hours on a fresh rebuild engine…YEA rebuilt & he probably forgot to put oil in it when he started it up, & then remembered it had no oil in it….to late spun bearing or bearing's…Karma will get him you'll see…It said in the Bible that GOD…..Damn's Hippocrat's for what they do. Tell Pops to hold his head up, it will work out in the long run. Riveting update!👍No wonder the engine had only 100 hours on it, it broke right away. Two you tubers that know ACs are Crazy D in Newton and Jim's Automotive Machine Shop (JAMSI) in eastern CO.

I totally understand not putting the pro stock hemi in a car. It would be a total waste of a piece of history. Anyone that has never had a totally race built engine would not get it. They're built for maximum performance, not maximum life.

It sounds like I need to come over and we need to do a little road trip to get some parts in Jezebel and get some miles on her.
This may be selfish of me but the tear down of the Pro Stock Hemi to fix the little problems means I (we) get to see the new, improved Hemi run once more! Sorry Dad got lied to. It just seems to happen more and more these days. Good character is not a given.

Problem is a lot of people are just religious but are not true followers of Jesus so you see how that works? Very few people are actually obediant followers of Christ. They only claim to be. Man is basically evil so thats what you get. There are a few people that really are good christians.

I've just got to say it….You're little garage there is a "GOLD MINE!" You've got it stuffed with so many nuggets of awesomeness that it's crazy! LOL. Gotta love it!!
I had a similar problem with a Holley carburetor a few years ago. It would leak into the engine overnight. The problem with this one was the metering blocks and the throttle body we're not flat. A little fine grit on a piece of glass or any other flat surface and you should be able to sand the imperfections out
Sorry to hear about your dad getting burnt man. That's so messed up that people have to be so friggin dishonest. It's totally obvious that motor was not rebuilt not anytime too soon anyways.
