Mike DiDomenico has entered himself again as a contestant for save of the year, this one even better than the last. After a solid Q1 run of a 3.689 @208 mph, Mike and crew found themselves in the number 5 spot. From Sal, “Haven’t posted anything about the weekend because we have been to busy fixing parts. Q1 went 3.68 @208 but took out a UJoint. In the process of fixing it we found the converter broke in half. We were about to pack it up as we don’t have spares of things like that when we got ahold of Chad Wright who had a converter we would be able to use. Thanks to Tj Gregorek for driving it half way to us, we got it back to the track around 3am. Back to the hotel by 430, then back to the track by 8 we had to do some modifications to be able to use it. Thanks to Todd and Ty Tutterow for lending a hand with it. Finished just in time to make q3 where it went 3.72@203. I missed the fuel curve do to the converter not being the same as we had, but made the adjustments and boom first round win 3.67 @210. I know everyone says this but we have the best team around. On to Sunday racing.” From Mike after the final round, “Ok here the deal everyone we made it to the final the car was on a great pass the car started to move to the rt I was trying to correct but there was not enough weight on the front then the lockup kicked in and took the wheels up again normally I wouldn’t stay in to the throttle so long with the car moving so close to the wall but it was the final. God was with me on that one.” Mike won round 2 on a peddle job 4.03, and won the semi final round with a 3.681 @208. Congrats Mike on the great weekend and you are now 4th in points!!!
