Mercedes From Adolf Hitler in Trove of Royal Iraqi Cars



Footage of a trove of luxury cars in Baghdad shows autos used by Iraq’s kings and princes until the 1950s, including a rare 1932 Mercedes that was a gift to King Ghazi from Adolf Hitler. Niki Blasina reports.

  4. This info is outdated and incorrect. The car has been restored and is presently in Germany.
    The car looks very sad with the star missing…

  5. Would like to see more info on the Rolls-Royce, I believe a Phantom IV, the limited edition 8 cylinder car made for royalty. This is similar to a car made for England's then Princess Elizabeth, and still in use, A similar car made for Princess Margaret was in a private Los Angeles collection. The royal house of Spain has TWO, armoured models, originally ordered by Franco. The Shah of Iran had TWO.

  6. Nice nice! They have a hot and dry climate over there which may have prevented corrosion.And the caretaker must be very efficient to have prevented plundering the vehicles during and after the regime breakdown.
