It is physically impossible for a rotor to be in really good shape after going through a set of pads! It is also impossible for the human eye to pick up all the different ways that rotor has been altered! It is never a good idea to install new pads on an old rotor, The only people I have ever seen that install new pads on old rotors are amateurs! My intention is not to be disrespectful, I use the word amateur as in you do not make a living as a mechanic! Also next time you push your pistons back take your old brake pad and stick it on the inside and then use the clamp, That way you can push both pistons in at the same time! Also you should open the bleeder before pushing the pistons back, it is never a good idea to push all of that fluid back up into your system!
Next time rear brakes thanks
question: 2008 Nissan Navara/Frontier. Replaced parts to make the 4×4 work. Needs new brakes. Partner said had to repair 4×4 before replacing brakes. Is this true?
