If you’re just going to be installing the pads you don’t have to remove the entire caliper. The two guide pin bolts can simply be removed and remove that portion of the caliper. This saves a lot of time. You do want to make sure that you clean the guide pens and make sure that the brake pads fit. They seldom come from the factory and slip right in. They need to be ground down a little bit to fit. If you don’t do this grinding the pads will not glide smooth and and you’ll be replacing your pads earlier than you really needed to. Just take the time and make sure that they glide.
