►This instructional DIY covers two jobs—BMW F30 brake pad replacement and BMW F30 brake disc or rotor replacement. Both of these jobs are being performed on a BMW 328i with the M-Sport brake package. The M-Sport brakes feature larger Brembo calipers along with brake pads and discs with a larger surface area.
The BMW M-Sport brakes with Brembo calipers offer superior stopping power over the standard brakes that come on the F30. Nate Vincent, the FCP Euro Motorsports Director and owner of this 328i, opted to replace the dusty BMW OEM pads with TRW Ultra Ceramic brake pads paired with Zimmerman slotted and dimpled rotors. The TRW pads offer comparable stopping power to the OEM pads while being both quieter and less dusty.
Follow along as Gareth takes us through the step-by-step process of replacing your BMW F30 brake pads and discs with minimal tools.
