During the 2024 edition of the PRI Show, many companies are debuting parts or announcing the latest and greatest. For Mitchell Clary of Over Kill Motorsports, he was debuting a complete new line of aluminum race trailers and through the great partnership with United Aluminum Trailers, Advantage Race Trailers was born.
The hardest part of going to a trade show these days is making a splash that people walk away from the show remembering – whether it is a big sponsorship announcement, a new product or a specific thing – this day in age, it is hard to raise the bar above the rest in a big way. For Mitchell, it was to create a new line of race trailers not only unique to the eye but also delivering a premium quality trailer with functionality at its peak for racers at the racetrack. From a Pro Modified team to a Bracket Racer, the Advantage Trailer Line has something for everyone who has high quality on their list.
“Since founding Over Kill Motorsports in 2008, I have been able to gain experience dealing with nearly every major motorsports trailer manufacturer in the country through selling them or using them in my own multi-car racing operation,” said Mitchell Clary. “I was able to learn what features provided functionality and what the tradeoffs were for each and that made it evident that there was an opportunity to combine the best of the best with minimal tradeoffs all in one package.”
With the mental picture achieved and the overall goal in mind came the biggest challenge and the most important step of all, who is the partner and builder to put the creation from a dream to a drawing to a completed product. “I teamed up with Jason Dietsch and his son Taylor at United Aluminum Trailers for many reasons. Primarily, this project requires a partner that shares the out-of-the-box approach that is necessary to bring the vision to life. They are not only business owners to one of the top manufacturers in the country, but they are also racers who recognize the need for this high-end custom offering. Jason’s twenty-five plus years of experience has been indispensable in taking this project from concept to reality in less than a calendar year,” said Clary.
As you can see in the posted photos, the unique 2025 Advantage 36’ All Aluminum Stacker Trailer features an all-aluminum frame and extruded floor with recessed airline track, smooth aluminum exterior and interior walls, along with the necessary 8000-pound axles and 17.5” wheels and tires to carry the load of multiple cars going down the highway from track to track across the country. “One of my favorite features about the exterior of the trailer is the custom trim, including the 45-degree front corners on the trailer and the tongue box which contributes to the unique elegance and style that makes the Advantage stand out from any other manufacturer,” said Clary.
As you peek inside, Dietsch’s favorite feature of the trailer immediately grabs your attention. “This trailer is packed with innovative features but if you made me choose just one as my favorite, it would have to be the custom aluminum floor featuring a recessed airline track set every 6 inches from front to rear,” said Jason Dietsch, owner of United Trailers. This feature eliminates the need for numerous d-rings and allows for multiple tie down configurations with an uber clean visual when empty. CTech Manufacturing has teamed up with Advantage on this new trailer line with their industry leading cabinet packages featuring a toolbox, closet and more to round out the classy yet functional interior. The extended 9’ long loft paired with the 26’ Stinger dragster lift gives you the potential of two dragsters on the lift along with general storage or a golf cart in the loft keeping functionality at a priority as well. This Aluminum Stacker Trailer features some of the best trailer manufacturers parts such as Equalizer Jack Systems, California Air Compressor and Mr. Cool Air Conditioners.
The features of the first Advantage All Aluminum 36’ Stacker Trailer is a nearly endless list but the mission of “truly custom” from Clary and Dietsch was achieved with this unit. While there will be minor changes as production continues, Advantage has already begun construction on a 34’ Tag and another 36’ Stacker Trailer with yet another interior configuration to showcase and adapt to the many needs of the motorsport’s customer base.
As the calendar has turned to 2025, the motorsports world has been pushing the bar higher for quality and expectations. With Mitchell Clary and Jason Dietsch introducing a new unique limited edition elegant trailer option to the world, it would not surprise us to see the bar continue to rise as the new trailer line shows why you always want the Advantage.
