If you’re just going to be installing the pads you don’t have to remove the entire caliper. The two guide pin bolts can simply be removed and remove that portion of the caliper. This saves a lot of time. You do want to make sure that you clean the guide pens and make sure that the brake pads fit. They seldom come from the factory and slip right in. They need to be ground down a little bit to fit. If you don’t do this grinding the pads will not glide smooth and and you’ll be replacing your pads earlier than you really needed to. Just take the time and make sure that they glide.

Great video and appreciate the explanation for all your moves but which brake pads did you use here? Can you put link to find? Thanks again
Thanks, brother. Changed the pads this morning. 👍
You should never have to shave ur pads to fit!!!! And don’t use grease with brakes!!!
Thanks. What torque wrench would you recommend?
Thank you, my son watched this and it was a big help.
Why on earth are you shaving it. I've had many replaced on many different cars & not a 1 needed shaved.
If it's the right brake for that car you would'nt have to grind down shit
Jesus christ!!! Please dont ever make another automotive video. First off the pads are supposed to be a tight fit. If they wont go into the slots your bracket shims are warped and should be replaced or you have the wrong pads/got pads from a shitty manufacturer. Second you never want to reuse an old rotor without at least getting it resurfaced. Your pads are gonna last 1/4 what they would have if you did it right. Your putting new pads on a surface thats already glazed and bedded in to mate with the old pads. So now your new pads will also give you a ton less braking capability. Aside from all that @7:35 your prying against the friction material with a flathead. Good way to take a chunk out of the material surface. Seriously if your going to show people all the wrong things to do then dont make the video. Your hurting more people than your helping.
Did you just grind an new OEM brake pad new?? You have to grind a new brake pad 😲😲 wow you have to grind down new Honda parts 😂 damn that keeps me buying Hondas lol
This is the most insane thing I have ever seen 🤣🤣🤣
why did you use the wrong brake pads? 40 years ive been changing brake pads and never one did i need to grind them down to make them fit, thats not how brake pads work at all. Im doing these pads today and if the pads they gave me need to be modified, im returning them. I'll make a video for you to show you the right way to do this. you might want to take down this video as it shows the wrong thing to do.
Damn! Nobody showed me that I only had to remove two bolts and not the entire caliper! Thanks. Everything was easy and quick.
Can you suggest any particular brake pad over another? Thanks. Very helpful video.
Thanks!!
